About this service
The water that reaches a Dubai tap has usually sat in a roof tank, and often a ground tank before that. Those vessels collect sediment, biofilm and, when lids are loose, dust and insects. People notice a chlorine or stale taste, cloudy first-draw water, a film in the kettle, or a tank overflow that smells. Landlords are expected to clean tanks on a regular cycle; families who own a villa often discover the last clean was years ago, if anyone remembers it at all.
AAS Technical Services isolates the tank, drains it in a controlled way, and physically scrubs every accessible internal surface. Sediment is removed, not just swirled. The tank is rinsed, disinfected with an appropriate solution at the right contact time, and rinsed again before refill. Lids, overflows, insect screens and ball valves are checked while the tank is empty — a clean tank with a missing screen is dirty again in a month. Where a ground and roof tank work as a pair, both are treated or we tell you why one was left.
We work with the household so you are not without water for a whole day without warning. Building tanks need management approval and sometimes a night slot; we handle that conversation when you introduce us. After refill we flush a sample of outlets and note any persistent discoloration that points to old galvanised pipe rather than the tank. Photos of the empty interior are part of the handover so you can see what was actually in there. A yearly clean is the usual advice for occupied villas; more often if tests or taste demand it.
